I bring blue collar credibility, earned on the construction site at a young age and refined in the crucible of competition on NASCAR’s pit road. As a championship pit crew coach for 15 seasons, I built and coached crews for drivers including Jeff Gordon, Jimmie Johnson, and Kevin Harvick, where hundredths of a second decided races and championships.

That background gives me a rare vantage point on what actually builds resilient teams and winning cultures. I’ve lived the challenge of developing leaders and delivering results under relentless pressure and I help organizations do the same through programs focused on resilience, culture, and leadership.

I Know What Autopilot Feels Like

Late 20s. Looked fine from the outside. Felt hollow from the inside.

Overweight. Going through the motions. Saying yes to things I should have said no to. Not failing publicly — just slowly, quietly drifting backward.

I started competing again — not against anyone else, just against who I was the day before.

I started the brand in 2011, $60,000 in debt, selling t-shirts out of the trunk of my car. Fifteen years later, it’s a 7-figure performance brand worn by people in 62 countries — and the foundation for every keynote I’ve delivered since.

I’ve built a business. I’ve fought drift in my own company. And I’ve spent the last decade teaching leaders to recognize it before it costs them.

Off the Stage

When I’m not on stage, I’m home in Frisco, Texas with my wife Elena — who’s the reason most of the good ideas in my life happen — and our four rescue Frenchies: Donut, Snacks, Cookie, and Pop-Tart. (Elena named them. I take no credit and accept all responsibility.)

The Fast Car Cigar Connection

Fast Car Cigar was born out of my love for creativity, connection, and precision manufacturing. We upcycle used race car parts and craft CNC pieces into striking ashtrays that invite us to pause, reflect, and connect.

While working in NASCAR, I came to revere the people who chase a thousandth of an inch: the precision, the pride and the craft of fabricating works of art. That reverence is the genesis of two of my talks, The 5 Axis Leader and Jewelry for the Eyes.

The same respect for the machinist’s craft shapes how I speak to the blue collar teams who build the world with their hands.
